UltraSync Wireless Hub

The formal name for the Wireless Hub is the UltraSync Self-Contained Hub. It is "Self-Contained" because it contains several modules needed to monitor, control and configure your security system:

• It has a keypad which enables you to arm and disarm the system. Or trigger the alarm with one push of a button.
• A Web Server that enables you to use a Web Browser on your computer or phone to configure the system just like you configure your home router.
• A Radio Frequency (RF) communication module that enables the Hub to communicate wirelessly with the peripherals like Sensors and Cameras.
• A Z-Wave® radio to communicate with Z-Wave home automation devices like smart door locks, lights and thermostats.
• An Ethernet port and a Wi-Fi module so the Hub can connect to the Internet via an Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi.
• If you choose to purchase the professional monitoring service, the Hub will also include a 3G cellular communication module to provide a reliable reporting path to the central monitoring station over a cellular network if the Ethernet/Wi-Fi connection is not working.

The Hub can be mounted on a wall (recommended) or you can use the Desk Stand accessory (sold separately) to place the Hub on a secure flat surface.

Regular Door/Window Sensor (White)

This sensor can easily be installed on doors, windows, cabinets or other items that can be opened and closed.

This device consists of a Sensor, which is attached to the frame of the door or window, and a smaller Magnet, which is placed on the door or window itself. When the sensor is separated from the magnet, the device sends a signal to the Hub to indicate that the door/window was opened.

It is recommended to install sensors within 100 ft (30 m) of the Hub. While a transmitter may have an open-air range of 500 ft (150 m) or more, the environment at the installation site may have a significant effect on operational range.

The battery life is about 5 years under normal usage.

When the cover of the sensor is removed, it sends a Tamper signal to the Hub to indicate a potential disablement or damage to the sensor by an intruder.

Regular Door/Window Sensor (Brown)

Same as the Regular Door/Window Sensor (White) except that the color is Brown.

Micro Door / Window Sensor (White)

This compact wireless sensor can detect the opening and closing of doors, windows, drawers, safes, cabinets, ...etc.

It functions the same way as the Regular Door/Window Sensor, but it has a smaller size which makes it less noticeable. This compact sensor can also be a good solution for applications with limited space.

It is recommended to mount the sensor within 100 ft (30 m) of the Hub. The sensor and magnet can be mounted using a double-sided adhesive tape (included) for a quick easy installation, or using screws (included) for a more reliable installation.

The sensor notifies the Hub about Open and Close events, as well as Tamper (when the sensor case is opened) and Low battery.

The sensor is powered by a replaceable 3-VDC lithium coin-cell battery and has an estimated battery life of 5-8 years under normal usage conditions.

Micro Door / Window Sensor (Brown)

Same as the Micro Door / Window Sensor (White) except that the color is Brown.

MaxLife Door / Window Sensor (White)

This is another versatile magnetic contact/sensor that can detect the opening and closing of doors, windows, patio doors, cabinets, drawers, and other objects that open and close.

It functions like the Regular Door/Window Sensor, but it is special in that it has a longer battery life. Under normal usage, the battery lasts for 10+ years.

This contact has another special feature: the magnet can be aligned with either the shorter side or the longer side of the sensor. This Two-Axis Sensing makes the contact more flexible by giving you more installation options.

This sensor can also function as a wireless transmitter for a wired contact that is already installed on your door or window. So the Hub can receive signals wirelessly from your existing hard-wired contacts.

MaxLife Door / Window Sensor (Brown)

Same as the MaxLife Door / Window Sensor (White) except that the color is Brown.

Garage Door Tilt Sensor

Usually it is not possible to install a door/window contact (sensor and magnet) on a garage door because:

1. It is hard to align the sensor and the magnet on a wobbly garage door.
2. Most door/window sensors cannot operate in the extreme cold as they are made to be used indoors.

This is why we are offering this tilt sensor made specifically for garage doors. The device can be mounted on any garage door quickly and easily using the included screws or double sided tape. The tilt sensor will activate when the garage door is opened and the device is approximately at a 45 degree angle.

This sensor features a slow loop response which eliminates false alarms triggered by garage door movement due to wind. It also has an extended operating temperature range from -22°F (-30°C) to 120°F (49°C).

Removing the cover of the sensor activates a Tamper micro switch that sends a Tamper signal to the Hub to indicate that someone may be tampering with the device.

It is recommended to install the sensor within 100 ft (30 m) of the Hub. The battery on the sensor lasts for about 5 years under normal usage.

Indoor Pet Immune Motion Detector

This Passive Infrared (PIR) Motion Detector is a Wireless, Battery-Powered device that detects the movement of a person by sensing the infrared energy emitted from the person's body. When motion is detected, the device sends a signal to notify the Hub.

The sensor has 2 sensitivity settings: Standard and High sensitivity. The Standard sensitivity setting eliminates false alarms from pets weighing up to 40 lbs (18 Kg). On the High sensitivity setting, the motion sensor will be triggered by pets weighing 20 lbs (9 Kg) or more. The detection range is 25 ft (7.6 m) on Standard sensitivity and 35 ft (10.6 m) on High sensitivity.

The device is powered by a replaceable CR-123 battery that typically lasts for 5 years. The device reports to the Hub when the battery is low and needs to be replaced. The device also sends a supervisory signal to the Hub every 64 minutes to ensure uninterrupted operation. And when the cover is removed, it sends a Tamper signal.

The operating temperature range is 32°F (0°C) to 110°F (43°C) for non-pet applications, and 60°F (16°C) to 110°F (43°C) pet applications which makes this motion sensor suitable for Indoor Applications.

Outdoor Motion Detector

This is a Robust motion detector made to withstand harsh weather conditions, dust, humidity and impact, all while being aesthetically pleasing. The operating temperature range is -13 to +149°F (-25 to +65°C).

It uses Quad PIR (Passive Infrared) technology to deliver reliable presence detection. The combination of precision electronics, digital white light filtering, and double shielding eliminates false alarms from the sun and other visible light sources.

The motion detector is designed for maximum flexibility to accommodate a variety of applications. You can program the device to choose one of three detection ranges: 33 ft, 66 ft, or 98 ft (10 m, 20 m, or 30 m). The sensor inside the device can be tilted about two axes to aim the detector at a certain region without having to tilt the whole device. Also the included sliding shutters/curtains that can be used to reduce the detection coverage angle if needed.

The device comes with two 3 V CR123 batteries. And there is a place to add a third optional battery (not provided). With 2 batteries, the average battery life is 3 years. With 3 batteries, the average battery life is 5 years.

The motion detector periodically performs self-tests and sends a Tamper signal to the Hub if a fault is detected. A Tamper signal is also sent if somebody opens or removes the device during operation.
